P.C. Chabot
Chief Executive Officer; Head of Portfolio and Game/Decision Theory |
| |
P.C. was a childhood mathematics prodigy who received much notice in the press at age 12 when he was the primary subject of a PhD dissertation dealing with the social behavior of gifted youth. He eventually did graduate work in mathematics at Harvard, and has since specialized in both mathematical economics (portfolio theory), theoretical statistics, and game/decision theory. He spent 7 years as a quant on Wall Street, beginning his career specializing in interest-rate swaps and working with the arbitrage desk of one of the best firms on the Street at just 22 years old. Since 2005, his work has centered primarily on pro-bono assignments in medical research, and he has been (slowly...) writing a textbook on avoiding data-snooping bias in the econometric analysis of relative value and arbitrage trading strategies. He is a member in good standing of the American Statistical Association's section on statistical consulting. |
